Houston Areos Trip

On Thursday the whole class came to class and we had a little free time until about nine. Once it was nine some of the class went down to Ms.Cuellar's car to put or backpack and stuff in cause we wouldn't be about to get back in school once we come back. After that we all went and loaded up on the bus. One of the Baseball coaches took the time out of his day and drove us to downtown Houston and when we arrived we were kinda earlier than expected. So we had time to walk around the mall and split up Ms.Cuellar we pretty cool about all of this, i was kinda surprised that she was all chill about it and she just sat down and enjoyed herself and let us walk around as we please. Some of the class went and crabbed some Starbucks at the mall, the mall was pretty big in size because they had a food court go to and there was another Starbucks there which was pretty awesome. After we got all done with the Starbucks we went back up to the Areos office and meet a couple of nice people that worked up there. We really learned whole lot of stuff that we didn't know Ms.Cuellar really have a good taste in things because this whole thing was pretty fun and amazing because if you really want to do something and make something out of yourself you got to work hard at it and keep working hard at something that you really want to do don't quit no matter what the problem is.This whole trip i think for the people that went was really good because it got alot of us to really got to know each other because after the whole project we just got done doing with the band and everything made us not want to be apart of the band, but then once we went on this trip we got to know each other a little more and had alot of fun.The Houston Areos don't have there own arena the share with the Houston rockets so when you go to the Houston Areos games there is some rockets stuff still hanging up, but on the other side of the Toyota Center there was some Houston Areos stuff.The Houston Areos needs to get more people involved and need to get more people so that there organization can become bigger and better so they can have privilege to advertise more stuff around the Toyota Center and put more of there own stuff in there to show the fans.The people we met there were really nice to us and treated us very well it was almost like we didn't deserve any of this but they treated us very good the spoiled us. The class overall had a good time with each other playing around with each other and cracking jokes and learning so much new things that we didnt know, making more friends with one another to make our friendship strong within ourselves.I would like to think Ms.Cuellar for all this because even in our 2nd period class we we could of treat the teacher better but we didn't and she done all this for us that no other teacher had done and Ms.Cuellar laughs and joke with us too as well but when its time to work its time to work, and i mean she made that pretty clear to the class.The whole class would like to think Ms.Cuellar for Teaching us about the sports market and letting us get the chance to see the sports market work while at the areos game and its really important that you do use all the key functions of the market mix so it can attract fans and make more business.Their is some things that most people dont really know about Ms.Cuellar shes very young at heart and is a prefect sports marking teacher really..and well shes not really young at heart but she try to be, i think we all know shes getting up there in age.Anyways Thank you again and the class for working together and working hard, and the Houston Areos game was really really really alot of fun and some of the class would like to go again after we seen how the sports market was done and all the hard work you got to do.

LETHAL JUICE PROJECT

Um..it wasn't that bad from the start when we first started doing all this everyone was excited..but once we got in the middle of the project things didn't go so well with the group in and all there was alot going on at the time. Lets just say if we were a band we would of split apart pretty quick cause we didn't like some of the ideas that we gave each other but we went through it only because we had to do what we need to get as good grade. we wasn't going to get a bad grade just cause of all the drama going on in the group. Later on at the end of the project when it was all coming together and we named the songs and tour of our band we started getting more into the project as one.We put our 7 key marketing functions together by having our product first which was our logo the lethal juice logo. Our selling wasn't a problem we gave away our Cd's at concerts for the first 2,000 people to show up for the show.We promoted our band by advertising it with a poster off radio stations with our logo and where the concert is going to be at. We priced the tickets from $12.00 to $35.00 We also will provide a special backstage pass to meet the band for $50.00 where you can take pictures with the band, get autographs, free t-shirts, free Cd's, and get to know your Lethal Juice members. We sold our T-shirts for $15 after you could get purchase them at the concert.

Focus Group

One of my favorites was the one when we all tasted the soft drinks because that's something that you don't do in any other class. The teacher didn't let us know what kind of drinks they were so we pretty much had to figure it out our self. Once we got done having a sample of one soft drink we had to eat a cracker which took away the taste from the last drink so we have a better taste of the next one.When we got done Ms.C finally gave us the results turns out the drinks were Pepsi coke and a store brand, and i liked the store brand better but that was before i found out that it was a store brand so it was kinda still a mystery to for me.

Hurricane Ike

My last 10 days were fun i guess, i spent alot of times working.When the hurricane came after a while we lost power and then a little later everyone lost power. That night i really didnt sleep i, couldnt sleep it was hot in the house with no power. Then on sunday we had to go to work to clean up so we could open it back up for the public. Then monday i was hanging out with Danielle..the girl next door..ha nah shes really the girl next to me right now but still we went to see a movie since she didnt have any power and Cinemark was the only place at that time that had food and power. We had alot of fun..and uh...yeah the bell gotta go peace!

People in 2nd period

I learned that most of the class likes the show family guy and Mexican food.Also one thing i learned is that me and some other people think just alike, and you don't have to like country music just because your white, white people do to like rap music.Also i learned that alot of people do not study for test which is really cool cause...neither do I!!

Interview Questions

About me one of my favorite foods is Mexican food i love Mexican food so much, but I'm not so big on seafood though.My favorite subject in school is..Orchestra because its like an easy class, but I'm also interested in economics its hard but kind of interesting.My strength is basketball i love to play basketball and my weakness is being at school for such a long time, i cant stand it.
I don't really don't study for test i just do them.In this class i would like to meet the rockets players and ask them questions like the media do or the other people would do.Right now i like the person who's sitting next to me we talk about alot of personal stuff and we get along just fine so the whole team thing is fine for me i like the people who I'm by.As a team member i would do my work at home to help the team if we had something big like a project due or something so we can all get a good grade on it i don't want my team to fail because of one person, its like you don't want to get fired at the job just cause one person didn't do his job and left you responsible, everyone on my team BETTER be doing there work end of story.

Our poster was pretty good i guess but i know that we could of done better we just didn't have anything to come up with.We did our poster on Ipod's and what we did was kind of put partnered up with the Rockets and the first 500 fans to a rockets game get a free Ipod.They can go to our web page at www.apple/ipod.com and get to look at all the cool stuff we have to sell or they can just walk in our store located on Gessner at Westview.
